An armchair is judged by the body within ten seconds, which is why it is the least forgiving piece in a room. Seat height decides whether standing up is easy; seat depth decides whether the back is usable or decorative; arm height decides whether the shoulders relax. Change any of the three by three centimetres and the chair becomes something else. Saint Objets draws armchairs to the person as often as to the room, and on a commission the seat height is one of the first numbers discussed rather than one of the last.

What seat height suits most people?
Around forty two centimetres works for most, but it is set to the user rather than to an average.

Can a swivel be added?
Yes, on most silhouettes, and it is decided at drawing stage because it changes the base.

How long does one armchair take?
Ten to thirty days according to scale, quantity and cloth availability.
