The Saint Objets Materials Guide

Every Saint Objets piece is specified to a materials brief that answers the UAE climate, the design-magazine standard, and the studio's sustainability position. Here is what we use, and why.

European fabric

All primary upholstery textiles are sourced from European mills, the same mills that supply Italian and French luxury furniture houses. European fabric sourcing gives us three things: tested colourfastness, documented chemical safety, and consistent yarn quality across production runs.

Belgian linen

Where linen is specified, Saint Objets uses Belgian linen, the global benchmark for linen weaving. Belgian flax produces a long, strong fibre with natural temperature-regulating properties that perform well in UAE climate.

Performance bouclé

European-milled performance bouclé, tight-loop weave in high-twist yarn. Claw-resistant, wipe-clean, tested for abrasion.

European vegan leather

Sourced from European mills supplying luxury handbag and car-interior manufacturers. Wipe-clean, humidity-tolerant, no cracking over years of use.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100

Saint Objets textiles used in skin-contact applications, including the inner mattress cover of Club Nooshie, are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. Verifiable on the OEKO-TEX public register.

Frames

Hardwood structural frames for sofas and armchairs. Structural plywood for pet furniture and headboards. No pressed fibre, no hollow particleboard.

Foam and fillings

High-resilience foam with feather-wrap finish. Certified foam densities matched to Italian luxury specification.

Can I request OEKO-TEX fabric on any piece?

Yes. Every European fabric in the Saint Objets library is either already OEKO-TEX certified or has a certified alternative.

Is Belgian linen durable enough for a Dubai family home?

Yes. One of the most durable natural fibres. For pet households we recommend performance bouclé.
