Every Saint Objets piece is specified to a materials brief that answers the UAE climate, the design-magazine standard, and the studio's sustainability position. Here is what we use, and why.
All primary upholstery textiles are sourced from European mills, a curated performance fabric library. European fabric sourcing gives us three things: tested colourfastness, documented chemical safety, and consistent yarn quality across production runs.
Where linen is specified, Saint Objets uses Belgian linen, the global benchmark for linen weaving. Belgian flax produces a long, strong fibre with natural temperature-regulating properties that perform well in UAE climate.
European-milled performance bouclé, tight-loop weave in high-twist yarn. Claw-resistant, wipe-clean, tested for abrasion.
Wipe-clean, humidity-tolerant, no cracking over years of use.
Saint Objets textiles used in skin-contact applications, including the inner mattress cover of Club Nooshie, are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified; the certificate is available for the chosen cloth.
Hardwood structural frames for sofas and armchairs. Structural plywood for pet furniture and headboards. No pressed fibre, no hollow particleboard.
High-resilience foam with feather-wrap finish. High-resilience foam densities specified for comfort and longevity.
Yes. Every European fabric in the Saint Objets library is either already OEKO-TEX certified or has a certified alternative.
Yes. One of the most durable natural fibres. For pet households we recommend performance bouclé.

The library runs to several hundred colourways. These four are where most conversations start, and they show the two families we work in most: boucle, which is texture, and velvet, which is light.

A dense wool boucle. It reads quiet from across a room and shows its texture only when you are close enough to touch it.

The same boucle in terracotta, flecked with rust and ink. It holds the light of the Emirates without going orange.

A steel-blue velvet with a dry hand. It takes shadow well, which is what makes a curved back read as a curve.

Velvet again, in the palest cream. The one people choose when they want the shape to speak and the colour to stay silent.
Samples are sent to your address in Dubai before production begins. Nothing is cut until you have held the cloth. Where the certificate is available for the chosen cloth, OEKO-TEX class fabrics can be specified.
