Discover the full paletteL’Écrin takes its name from the box a jewel arrives in. The arms and the back are cut as one continuous squared volume, and the seat sits deep inside them. Two loose bolsters fall where the elbow lands. The whole piece is lifted on a solid wood plinth, so it sits in the room like an object set down rather than a chair pushed against a wall. It encloses without confining.
The Saint Objets Spring Seat System is fitted as standard on L’Écrin, not offered as an option. Developed and prototyped in the studio, it uses sinuous springs for a deeper, slower sit. Above it, variable-density high-resilience foams are layered and shaped for support and recovery, with polyfiber used where appropriate for surface softness and tailoring.

A deep plum mohair that turns almost black away from the light.

A warm chenille that lets the wood base speak.
Also offered in the Pierre Frey edition, in Bohème Quartz, a cut cotton velvet from the Paris house. Any other fabric of the collection can be specified.
