Architectural Furniture, Dubai.

Saint Objets is a French furniture studio in Dubai. Designed in Paris, crafted in the Emirates. Every piece begins as a drawing, not a catalogue number, developed for the way a room is actually lived in.

Architectural Furniture, Dubai: made to order means the piece is built to your proportions and your materials. Performance velvet, boucle and linen, selected for Dubai light and daily life, so a sculptural piece keeps its shape and its presence for years across the UAE.

Architectural furniture is defined by its relation to the room: a sofa that follows the curve of a wall, a bench that fills a niche, a bed whose headboard reads as part of the panelling. Saint Objets designs in Paris and builds in the Emirates, bespoke, custom made and made to order, so each piece is drawn from the space rather than chosen from a range.

Volume and silhouette come first. A long low sofa gives a living room its horizon, a rounded armchair softens a corner, a tall headboard gives a bedroom its vertical line.

The studio works from the architect's plans and elevations. Each piece is returned as a dimensioned drawing for approval before production, so proportions, heights and clearances are fixed on paper first.

Fabrics and finishes are chosen with the design team from a European selection,

Sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, beds, headboards, banquettes and tables are made by the same studio, together with curtains, blinds and pelmets. The room keeps one palette and one level of finish.

Pieces can be seen at Decoroom, Art of Living Mall, and at the studio in Dubai Design District by appointment.
