Bespoke Headboards, Dubai, made to order. Designed in Paris. Crafted in the Emirates.
Explore BedsA bespoke headboard begins with the bedroom rather than a standard size. Saint Objets develops the width, height, outline, mounting approach and upholstery around the bed, wall proportions and the way the room is used.
Saint Objets designs bespoke headboards in Dubai and crafts them in the Emirates. A French furniture and window treatment studio led by Founder and Creative Director Sarah Koben, it makes wall mounted panels and headboards built into a complete bed, from restrained outlines to wavy, scalloped or arched ones, upholstered in velvet, bouclé or linen. Headboard-only commissions are reviewed by the studio. Lead time is ten to thirty days, according to the scale of the project, the number of pieces and the availability of the chosen fabric, and the pieces can be seen at Decoroom, Art of Living Mall, Dubai.
The brief may call for a restrained upholstered panel, a sculptural outline or a wave-shaped headboard such as Nouvelle Vague. For the complete category, see headboards in Dubai; for textile and padding considerations, see upholstered headboards.
Wavy, curved or scalloped? The word describes the silhouette, but the drawing determines how it sits in the room. Explore sculptural wavy headboards in Dubai, from the shell-inspired curves of Oyster to the upholstered wave of Nouvelle Vague. A bespoke commission can explore wider, taller or wall-led proportions after a measurement and fixing review.
A bed is not furniture. It is where the day ends.

Commission a BedSaint Objets is a French furniture studio in Dubai. Designed in Paris, crafted in the Emirates. Every bed begins as a drawing, not a catalogue number, developed for the way a room is actually lived in.
Bespoke Headboards, Dubai: made to order means the bed is built to your proportions and your materials. Performance velvet, boucle and linen, selected for Dubai light and daily life, so a sculptural bed keeps its shape and its presence for years across the UAE.
A headboard is the largest single surface in most bedrooms and it sets the proportion of everything else. Too short and the bed reads as unfinished; too tall in a narrow room and the wall closes in. The rule that holds in most Dubai apartments is that the headboard should read as part of the wall rather than as an object leaning against it, which is why wall mounting often works better than a floor standing frame. Fabric choice matters more here than anywhere else, because this is the surface a head rests against every night.
Wall mounted or floor standing?
Wall mounted on a wide wall, floor standing where the bed must move. It is decided at drawing stage.
Can I order just a headboard for an existing bed?
Yes, it can be reviewed as a headboard-only commission. The headboard is drawn to the existing bed, the mattress width and the wall, then upholstered in the Emirates in the fabric chosen with the studio.
How tall should it be?
Proportional to the wall and the ceiling rather than to a standard. We draw it to the room.
Which fabric suits a headboard?
Something that feels right against skin and cleans easily. Bouclé, linen and velvet all work for different reasons.
Can you re-cover an existing headboard?
Yes, when the frame is solid. Saint Objets also re-covers and refreshes headboards in Dubai: the frame is checked first, the fabric is agreed from curated European collections, and the headboard is re-upholstered in the Emirates. See headboard reupholstery in Dubai.
What does a bespoke headboard cost?
The collection is priced as complete beds: Teddy From AED 8,990, Nouvelle Vague From AED 10,490 and Oyster From AED 10,990, each in Queen, King or Super King. A headboard-only commission is reviewed by the studio.
How long does it take, and where is the studio?
Lead time is ten to thirty days, according to the scale of the project, the number of pieces and the availability of the chosen fabric, with delivery across the UAE. See the pieces at Decoroom, Art of Living Mall, Dubai; the studio in Dubai Design District receives by appointment.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. Interior designers and architects specify beds and headboards through the Saint Objets trade programme, and for larger projects the studio works with an architect. The same studio also makes the curtains and blinds for the room, with installation included.
