Sister to the Comtesse Sofa and the Comtesse Dining Chair, the Comtesse Bed brings the proportions and upholstery traditions of French country houses into the bedroom, without ever reproducing a period piece.
Its headboard rises in a gently stepped arch, softened at each shoulder before it meets the crown. Within it, a panel in Chantilly cream is framed by a border of Truffe taupe, joined by a fine seam that traces the arch from one side to the other.
The border returns down both sides, so that the headboard reads as a single tailored piece rather than a panel applied to a frame. Chantilly remains light and calm against the depth of Truffe, while the low upholstered base, dressed in the same taupe, rests on small dark feet.
Tailored in line, serene in tone.
