Saint Objets pieces are built to last decades. Here is how to care for them in UAE conditions so they do.
Materials GuideEvery cloth, surface and frame asks for something slightly different. Below, the routine for each. Questions about care →
Care is not maintenance. It is continuity.
Made to order, designed in Paris, crafted in the Emirates.
Humidity cycles 30-70%. Maintain consistent A/C. Weekly dusting matters more in Dubai than in European climates.
Weekly light maintenance, vacuum or wipe depending on fabric, keeps upholstery in condition. Deep or professional clean every 12-18 months for most fabrics. Vegan leather: monthly wipe with a damp cloth is sufficient.
Not recommended for velvet or bouclé, steam can distort pile and cause shrinkage. Vegan leather can tolerate light steam at distance. Belgian linen: professional upholstery clean only, no steam at home.
Light claw marks on velvet can often be brushed out with a velvet brush. Deep tears or pulled seams: contact the studio for upholstery repair. The studio can re-upholster panels on request.
Velvet fades under prolonged direct sun. Rotate cushions quarterly if the sofa is in a south or west-facing room. For significant fading, the studio can re-upholster the affected panels, contact the studio with photos for a quote.
Use a clean damp white cloth instead, baby wipes can contain fragrance and pH-altering agents that affect velvet pile over time. Blot, do not rub. Allow to air-dry.
