View the pieceThe Saint-Tropez is a single continuous gesture. A rounded base carries an enveloping backrest, and the two are resolved as one volume rather than a seat with a back added to it. The posture it produces is low and grounded, drawn for long afternoons rather than for upright conversation, which is why it reads as a sunbed and not as an outdoor armchair. Its companion is the Antibes coffee table.

Commission a SunbedThe Saint-Tropez is made to order, so the dimensions are not fixed by a warehouse. Where a terrace is narrow, the depth can be drawn back without losing the curve. Where a poolside is generous, the piece can be widened so it holds the space instead of floating in it. The silhouette stays the same, the proportions answer the site. Saint Objets designs in Paris and crafts to order in an atelier in the Emirates, so the piece is made close to the home it is going to and delivered without a sea crossing.
Two colourways are offered. Cap Sand is the quieter stripe, sand and cream, and it sits with travertine and pale limestone. Romarin is deep green and cream, and it answers planting rather than stone. Both are striped, with contrast piping in the lighter tone of the pair. The piece is upholstered for outdoor use, with cloth specified for sun, humidity and daily terrace life according to the brief.
