Club Nooshie designer dog bed by Saint Objets, upholstered shell, Dubai
Living with animals.

The house does not stop where the dog begins.

A dog lives in the same rooms as everyone else.

It sleeps beside the sofa, crosses the rug and settles against upholstered surfaces. Material therefore has to be considered with the animal, the furniture and the room in mind.

The material

The fabric has to live there too.

For homes shared with animals, the studio considers the weave, surface, colour, cleanability and intended use alongside the form of the piece.

A tighter surface may suit one application. A more textured cloth may suit another. The choice depends on the animal, the furniture and the way the room is used.

Material health

The surface they live against.

Dogs sleep against upholstery. So do we.

The certification applies to the upholstery fabric.

A wide choice of fabrics, including a range of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabrics.

Colour

Colour can be practical without disappearing.

Consider the contrast between the upholstery and the animal's coat, the texture of the weave and the amount of daily contact the surface will receive.

A practical specification does not require the room to become neutral.

See the material catalogues in The Fabric Edit and the Materials Guide.

The pieces

Pet furniture is still furniture.

Club Nooshie and Venezia Pet Edition are considered as part of the room.

Proportion, upholstery and placement are treated in the same way as the other pieces in the collection.

Consider it in person.

Bring photographs, plans or the materials already in the room. We will compare the textile against the piece, the palette and the light before the upholstery is confirmed.

Appointments are confirmed by the studio.
