Saint Objets Studio  ·  UAE  ·  Made to Order

Saint Objets makes sustainable furniture for the UAE, pieces built to last so long that the question of replacement does not arise for decades, using materials chosen with knowledge of their origin.

Sustainability in furniture begins with longevity. A sofa that lasts forty years is sustainable in a way no material certification can match. The studio builds from this premise: solid hardwood frames, hand-tied springs, and upholstery that improves rather than deteriorates with use.

Beyond longevity, the studio selects materials with traceable origin, hardwoods from known sources, leathers from tanneries with established practices, wools hand-tufted by craftspeople paid properly for their time. Nothing anonymous enters the atelier.

Built to Last in the UAE

The Gulf climate accelerates the failure of furniture made without care. UV exposure, heat, and air conditioning cycling all test materials harder than temperate climates. Saint Objets specifies for these conditions from the start. See the sofas, beds, and rugs.

Across the Emirates

The studio serves clients across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and the wider UAE. See the full studio approach at bespoke furniture in Dubai.

Sustainable furniture is furniture you never need to send to landfill. Everything else is negotiable.

Materials and finishes

Every Saint Objets piece is finished in materials specified to a brief and traceable to source. Performance velvet, bouclé, and refined vegan leather are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified by their European mills. Belgian linen is available on request, with documented mill traceability. Frames are kiln-dried hardwood or structured plywood. Foams are dense European polyurethane with a ten-year structure expectation. Pet-safe and child-safe by default; certification numbers shared on request.

Frequently asked questions

Are the certifications real?

Yes. The performance velvet, bouclé, refined vegan leather, and Belgian linen used by Saint Objets are individually OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified by their European mills. The studio shares certification numbers on request.

Can I see and feel the materials?

Yes. By private appointment in Dubai. The fabric library includes the working swatch range; samples ship on request elsewhere in the UAE.

What is the difference between performance velvet and bouclé?

Performance velvet is a smooth, woven fabric with a rich pile, ideal for formal interiors. Bouclé is a textured fabric with natural air pockets, better at hiding shedding and dust. Both are stain-resistant, OEKO-TEX certified, and machine-washable in cover form.

Why refined vegan leather rather than animal leather?

Saint Objets uses plant-based polyurethane (refined vegan leather), OEKO-TEX certified, free from PVC. Performance is comparable to animal leather; environmental footprint is significantly lower. We do not currently use animal leather in any product.

Is Belgian linen always available?

Belgian linen is available on request. Lead time extends by five to ten working days for fabric import. Belgian linen is naturally less treated than performance fabrics; it suits calmer households and lower-traffic placements.
