What Does Hospitality-Grade Furniture Actually Mean?

Hospitality-grade is furniture built for constant use. Saint Objets is a French studio in Dubai: pieces designed in Paris, made to order in the Emirates. The piece reads as residential. It behaves like it belongs on a working hotel floor.

How the Studio Reads It

The grade is a set of behaviours under pressure.

The brief is set at the first drawing, not corrected later.

Where the Grade Lives

The grade sits in the specification. High-performance cloths, drawn from curated European collections, are matched swatch by swatch to the traffic a room carries. A weave that answers for a lobby answers for a living room.

The build stays toxic-free, with low chemical emissions. A piece carries people every day, at close range, for years.

A Standard You Specify With Us

No stock is held. Nothing is built before it is wanted. There is no importer, no distributor, no warehouse, no ocean crossing before a client has asked. Nothing is lost along the way, so nothing has to be taken out of the piece to make up for it.

You describe how the room will be used. The frame, the cloth and the finish are specified to that. Ten to thirty days follow, according to the scale of the project, the number of pieces and the availability of the chosen cloth.

It is the standard behind the hospitality projects and the NOYA collaboration, and the standard behind a single piece for one apartment in Dubai. For a fuller view of that world, see our guide to hotel furniture in Dubai.

Frequently asked questions

Is hospitality-grade furniture only for hotels?

No. The grade describes how a piece behaves, not where it stands. The same standard is built for private homes in Dubai: daily family use, guests, cleaning cycles.

What makes the fabrics hospitality-grade?

The cloths come from curated European collections, high-performance and hospitality-grade, chosen for how they take abrasion and how they let go of a stain. Where the certificate is available for the chosen cloth, OEKO-TEX can be named and shared. Every build is toxic-free and low in chemical emissions.

Can I order hospitality-grade furniture as a private client?

Yes. Every piece is made to order. Saint Objets receives at Decoroom, Art of Living Mall, Dubai, with a complimentary design consultation and a designer by appointment. Decoroom, Dubai Hills Mall, Gate 4, opens soon. The studio in Dubai Design District receives by appointment. Come and sit on the pieces, feel the cloth, and tell us how the room will be used.
