OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is the strictest textile safety certification in the world. Saint Objets uses OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabric on the Club Nooshie dog bed mattress cover because a dog sleeps on it for ten hours a day and a child plays on it in between.
What OEKO-TEX Standard 100 actually tests
Azo dyes, formaldehyde, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic), chlorinated phenols, pesticide residues, PAHs, PFAS-class compounds, and dozens more. Independent, lab-based, re-certified annually.
Why it matters for a dog bed
Dogs lie on their beds for eight to twelve hours a day, chew the edges, and shed skin oils into the fabric. A dog bed fabric that leaches formaldehyde or heavy metals is a daily exposure issue for the dog and for any child who plays on the same bed.

The mattress cover carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The vegan leather exterior meets separate European safety standards, both independent, both stricter than regional textile norms.
Does OEKO-TEX cover baby and toddler safety?
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 has a strictest Class I tier for products for babies and toddlers. Class I tier is available on commission for households specifically requiring it.
How often should I wash the cover?
Every two to four weeks. Gentle cycle 30°C, air-dry. No bleach, no softener.
